Alligations 
When different quantities of same or different ingredients of different values are mixed together to produce a mixture of a mean value, use alligation.
Rule of alligation
 
{ Quantity of cheaper ingredient/ Quantity of Dearer ingredient } =
{ (cost price of deaer ingredient- mean price)/(mean price-cost price of cheaper ingredient) }
